Woodleigh Pets Corner

We have a thriving pond at Woodleigh that a resident has been developing and looking after for several years.  There are many fish including 5 whopping Koi Carp!

Residents recently voted in favour of having a ‘Pets Corner’ in the garden area at Woodleigh. 

We currently have a 4-yr old doe rabbit called ‘Pepper’.  She is a Standard Grey.  In addition we have 2 young Guinea Pigs called ‘Patch’ and ‘Ginger Spice’, and we are exploring the possibility of housing a Ferret in the near future.

Everyone at Woodleigh loves the little animals and everyone is welcome to help to look after them.

The Pets Corner is situated on the top patio in the garden.

The therapeutic and relaxing benefits of our Pets Corner far outweigh any identified risks and a policy on keeping pets has been drafted by the Health & Safety Committee and is in place.

We hope this will be a worthwhile project that will help to build confidence and skills for the future.
